It was a great day to visit Valley Forge. It was a great day to visit Valley Forge.
So happy to have our niece and her fiancé in town So happy to have our niece and her fiancé in town for a few days. They love Halloween, so last night we went to the Pennhurst Asylum haunted house. Very scary. 10/10 would recommend. Also, really enjoying the new night mode on iPhone.

Finally made it to Fallingwater. Designed by Frank Finally made it to Fallingwater. Designed by Frank Lloyd Wright in 1938 for the Kauffman family. I (Barbara) have been wanting to come here ever since learning about Frank Lloyd Wright in school. Since it’s only a few hours from home, we decided to take a weekend trip to visit for my birthday. Not a bad way to celebrate the last year in my 30s.
We have been working hard over the past few months We have been working hard over the past few months on our home renovations. Mostly time consuming, tedious work that costs a lot of money and doesn’t translate well to IG. Amongst other things, we’ve been working on our guest room. All the furniture in this room is thrifted. We bought the black dresser a few years ago at a thrift store in Philly and it was one of the few furniture pieces we kept in storage while we were digital nomads. It’s still a favorite thrift store find and really inspired the whole mood for this room. Dark and moody isn’t the typical style we go for, but we like how different it is than the rest of the rooms in the house. We look forward to welcoming our first guests, our niece and her fiancé , to stay in October!
Spent the day in Baltimore at the Guinness Open Ga Spent the day in Baltimore at the Guinness Open Gate Brewery. The only Guinness Brewery in the US. The tour was great and we loved the outdoor beer garden area. Made us miss our time in Dublin a few years back.
